I sew no matter what it's like outside. Do machine quilting so temp is not an issue. Just trying to use up the fab I have. Getting tired of seeing the same stuff everytime I shop for fab in my stash. Starting to collect pic of quilts I see on the internet w/contact info so when I want to sew something new, I be able to order the pattern. Coltide has WONDERFUL quit patterns.

90 degrees yesterday and today and my central air is broken. 85 inside first floor and that means my sewing room is about 93 with three fans going. I got a laptop and a twin bound and am putting a strip quilt together.
I go into the basement for a half hour every hour or so and have eaten all the ice cream in the house!

i stay in to sew in the summer... temps generally run from 106-114 here... im not going outside lol.
I like to sew and crochet in the winter.. on the porch
even with the air running, i cant seem to enjoy crocheting when its hot.. but honestly havent bothered with crocheting since i got back into quilting lol theres only so many colors of yarn... theres millions of fabrics, i have too short of an attention span to crochet much lol

It's too hot for the sewing room which is on my 2nd floor. We are in our 6th over 90 degree heat wave so far. We usually only have 1 week over 90 the whole season here in southeastern PA. I'm spending a lot of time trying to keep the gardens watered in my yard & a couple neighbors when they go away.

Definitely! My sewing room is upstairs and after about 10:30 it is just too hot. I guess if I get desperate (I'm almost there!) to finish a project, I'll haul everything downstairs but it seems that I always forget something and need to make a lot of trips upstairs to get them. Then, of course, you have to haul everything upstairs again. I may finish my current project and then crochet or cross stitch until the weather cool off.
