Mostly use So Fine by Superior in my Amara. Use to use Omni but too linty for me. Occasionally use Glide thread but do have to adjust my tension. Good luck!

Thanks everyone for your helpful suggestions. I have watched a couple of videos and the tension is improving, but still not 100% perfect. Watson, you mentioned setting the foot pedal. How do you do that? Also, krisgray, I looked for the Tiara group on Facebook but couldn't find it. Any chance you could post a link? Thank you again, I appreciate all your help.

To set the foot pedal, on your screen there is a % sign I think in the upper right corner that says speed control? That controls how fast your needle goes up and down regardless of how hard to put your foot down on the pedal. Once you find what your "foot speed" is...where a comfortable speed in relation to your hands are for free motion quilting, you can set that and then you only have to worry about your hand speed because you can put your foot "pedal to the metal" and the machine won't take off.

PS...go to FB and search Babylock Tiara and I think you'll find the group.
