Default Table runner

Hello Everyone

I made a table runner with points and it seems a little thick around the seam, I was thinking I should do some top stitching around the edge to make it flat, what do you all think ?

Thank You Very Much
Pat

I always think that top stitching adds to the overall look of a project. It secures the seam allowances and makes the edges flat.

Stitching around the edge of a runner can look nice if the runner is laying flat. If it has ripples, sometimes top stitching can make it worse.

I've read somewhere of hammering the seams to make them flatter ... sounds like it might work!

It does but put some scrap over the area as sometimes it looks darker

Try ironing and then laying a ruler(s) over the area before it cools. Works on blocks that won't lie flat, so perhaps on an edge?
