why not just buy a table that is MADE for your sewing machine and it is portable?

Jacquie, these tables are 10" deeper which gives more room.

Excuse me for jumping in here, but I wanted to answer your question too, as I've owned mine for over a year and still, absolutely LOVE it!! :thumbup: Very heavy, sturdy, and also an excellent match for my machines, too. Mine is 60" x 30".

I was really lucky to come across mine in a thrift store for under $50. As you can see, my drop down is in the middle of the table and works just fine for me. I have since placed another small table to the left of my sewing table for additional surface for larger quilts to be supported.
