Default Tandem bike

I want to make a quilt with a tandem bike on. Would you applique or foundation piece.? I can design either way.

Applique is always easier for me. Easier to do and easier to find a pattern I like.

since a bike has so many round lines, i would say that applique would be more realistic looking and easier. although i am really impressed when i see a paper/foundation pieced with curves.

I would definately applique' it rather than paper piece it. I would think, like QuiltnNan, that with all the curves it would be a lot easier. Looking forward to seeing that quilt. It sounds like it will be really cute. Happy sewing/quilting!
