I have three Vikings , my Mom has three, and each of my three sisters has two... needless to say ... We REALLY like our Vikings. Only one of all of these machines ever had a serious issue... My Mom's had a problem one time that it would only sew backwards... but after 20 years of very very constant use.

Vikings are wonderful machines you are lucky to get this one.
Don't be afraid to use it. Read the manual, it will sew well for you!!

Definately. Vikings are the top of the line in sewing machines. I wish I could afford one. You are very lucky. Jeanniebelle

You got a good one. I'm not familiar with this particular model, but I've never heard of a bad Viking. As someone else on the Board said "Vikings are not cheap." I've owned two Vikings and I've never had a problem. I gave my old one to my Mom and she loves it.

Viking and bad are two words that don't go together.
