I do not immediately see how I would use a poll on this site, but I would be willing to respond to polls if I felt I could make a meaningful observation.

I do use polls for a variety of things with select groups of people.

Probably a useful tool for deciding border colors or quilt layouts, but only if an answer is A or B or C.,etc. I don't spend a lot of time on computer.

You know, I get telephone calls all the time wanting me to respond to some survey or the other, or a poll on some question or the other. I am on the Do Not Call List, but I continue to receive calls, robo calls. I hang up on those calls, and I probably would not respond to a poll. I honestly think polls can (and do) repress the discussion on issues, so I don't think it would be good for the site at all. JMHO
