Not needed here, someone asks a question and it gets answered. A poll does not give a reason for the answer, exactly the reason you asked us to post our reason. If I ask what color border goes with my quilt, I'd like more information that 10 voted for red, 8 for blue, etc. Why clog up the board for polls.

I don't mind polls, but wouldn't create one. Sometimes I feel the answers to chose from are limited. So few answered based on membership, maybe that is indicative of participation.
