I had an email yesterday from the website: allfreesewing.com that they have texture magic on sale right now. Two different sizes of packages --one is 47/18 and is $10.19 --the other is larger and is sl more expensive. Just go to their "sewing store" and type in texture magic. Have fun with it. I think it is amazing stuff--be sure to follow directions exactly however.

There is no substitute. It is best used as an enhancement not to make an entire project. I always buy small packages from Jhittle.com.

Guess I'll have to Google it. I've never even heard of it.

Ok, now with that said, I can now see it. Chalk that up to yet ANOTHER senior moment. :?

Also, during a showing of America Sews or Quilts, someone was on demo ing the shrinking thread. She demoed on a center of a pillow. It looked rather interesting. Like something I might want to try someday. It's another on my (bucket) list. :-D

I bought a little bit to experiment with but haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet. Looks fascinating, doesn't it?

This is the same thing I did years ago. This does take quite a while to dry in the center so I made mine on 'wash day' and then left it in the dryer with each load that I dried that day. I then let it sit for a week or two before I unrolled it.

I got a small pkg in my Christmas stocking last year, haven't used it yet but am planning on using it for the outside pocked of a purse. Hope it works...

I have used it on a purse and I love the results. I used it for the side pockets and the purse flap.

i have used this and really liked it. i made 2 dresses and 2 hat. for ggd.for the little children you should line the bodice as it can get scratchy for the little ones. my pattern had to be lined. got the texture magic from sewthankful.com it gives you some info there. usually she has it closer to the end of her web page. have fun.
