I love to shop for fabric, get home and show it to my husband, it will stay in the bag until I have somewhere to put it. I have a lot of fabric all over the house but not much storage. Love to look at what I have and feel it! :XD:

I know what you mean. Some days I just sit and pet my fabric and let me mind wander or maybe meditate would be a better word. The cats like to hang out in the fabric closet with me, they nest and fall asleep. It is so relaxing, but my husband thinks it is so odd. I compare it to his doing puzzles.

OooOOooo yes! Isn't it fun to look over it all again and then to decide to wash it and iron it and put it away or using it right after! I don't have ton's of material, but I can say I just love buying when I can.

At least I'm not alone! My DH couldn't understand why when we moved back to the States I HAD to pack my entire quilting room-every scrap! He thought I was nuts to pay all the shipping/excess baggage to get it overseas in the first place, then pay shipping to get it all back! He just laughs when I told him so incrediously, "but it's my STASH!! Of course I have to take it with me!!" I LOVE fabric-the smell, feel, colors-next to chocolate, nothing these days excites me as much! LOL

this is an early photo of my stash before I ran out of space in my shoe/sweater organizers.

    Know what you mean.
My DS just e-mailed me she found a new fabric shop (to her) in CT near her and says it is 5-6 times the size of ours here. I feel a road trip coming on before school starts..

I bought fabric for a project, last weekend. Haven't taken it out of the bag, yet! I just keep looking at that bag. By the time I take it out, it will be like looking at it for the first time! The anticipation gives me goosebumps!

Fabric has always held a tactile pleasure for me ever since I was 9 or 10 and wanted to start sewing. In my early adulthood I was a dressmaker with the privilege of sewing for a high end fabric store with cashmere and silk and swiss cotton. A fine 100% cotton fabric is like heaven!! Fold, stroke, wonderful!

Yep! I'm a fabrifolic too. When I get home from fabric shopping I sew up the ends of the fabric, wash and press, enjoying and admiring the fabric.
    Fold and store.

I love to feel it, sort it, look at, fold it. My family thinks I need therapy. That is my therapy!
