Clover makes a flat head flower pin with a very thin, sharp, long shaft. It's my preferred pin, but, boy, can it be "pokey" if you happen to let it stick you!

These pins were recommended by Sally Collins in her video on Precision Piecing. Everyone who has tried them thinks they are the best pins they have ever used.
These are my favorite too and the only pins I use for quilting.
