Is there something wrong?

I'm with you. Very rarely do I make a specific quilt with someone in mind. For the most part, I make ones that I like. Then, when I do need to give a quilt to someone, I can pick out one from my stock. Some are for me alone, but the rest are up for grabs. This way, I don't have to make quilts on a deadline, it is a much more enjoyable way to quilt.

I have a lot of quilts, large and small, that were made just because I liked the pattern. My husband finally quilt asking, now it's - "when are you going to sell some of these?" I just enjoy the creative process, it doesn't have to be for someone or a certain event to make something beautiful because you enjoy it

I don't have a lot of space to store quilts. It seems that he thinks that I need to give away a quilt as soon as it's done or have a time limit when it will go. Is it selfish to just want to make them? Do they always have to go? Thanks for your replies. BrendaK

I hope it is not selfish to think you just quilt because you like to quilt - as one day I hope to get at that point - right now I'm still making quilts for my family - THEN will come the "just because I like to quilt" or "Just because I have all this fabric yet to use"............:)
