I just can't find the info I am looking for and thought you people probably know is there a right or wrong side of Hobbs 80/20 batting

I don't use that batting, so I can't speak from experience. But if there is a scrim layer, that side goes down against the backing. If there is a nubby and a smoother side, the smooth side goes down against the backing. Just general rules of thumb.

I use a lot of Hobbs 80/20 and never even paid attention to which side was up. My quilts always turn out nice and I love how the batting "holds" the fabric in place.

Hobbs 80/20 doesn't have a right side or wrong side (either side up is fine). This is because it doesn't have a scrim, and it also isn't a fusible.

well, there is also a fusible. i used it a lot. both sides fusible.

Hobbs heirloom 80/20 fusible. used to get it at Hobby Lobby and maybe Joann's. its' out there.

Good to know...I purchased a roll of it but am still trying to use up the remaining W&N I have before I dive into the Hobbs roll.
