they have to go. or should they stay?

i haven't done these kinds of projects before, but my daughter thought this would be a good gift for her grandmother.

i think the snowflakes have to come off. i think i loathe them.

    but the hours of work....

    what says the qb?

i like them...since no two snowflakes (or anything else in nature) is the same-or perfect- i would leave them-you have done the work.

Not sure why you'd want to remove the snowflakes.

    Very sweet as it is.

I like the snowflakes and would leave them.
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.

if you don't like it, remove it. otherwise, you will only see the thing you don't like about the runner instead of all that is "right".

Don't mess with the flakes...after you don't look at it for aday or too, you'll likely think they are Ok. If you think this is really disgusting, you could send it my way? LOL

I like the embroidered snowflakes. The runner is perfect just as it is and the grandmother will be pleased.

It's a shame we are so critical of our own work.

I think they add a really cute touch to an already cute project. I would leave them, but you have to be satisfied with it also.

I would keep them! I hate to feel like my efforts have been "wasted" and I like the explanation that no two snowflakes are alike! I say keep.

Leave them on unless it ruins it for you. If you don't like them you won't like the wall hanging. Sometimes you just need to look at it for awhile and then decide.

my daughter loves them and says her nana will love them.

i'll never see the thing again or if i do it will be in passing.

so they stay! (and snorg...i have to finish them.....)

thanks guys. i do think we're hypercritical of our own work and i appreciate your eyes

Keep them. How could you make the snowmen without snowflakes?

I like the snowflakes too ... but if you think you are going to loathe them, then they gotta gal, they gotta go . How about reserving your opinion for the moment and see if they 'grow' on you.
