I would love to see QB Members' photos showing your little Garden Flags. I'm just about to purchase one, and will make little quilty things to hang, to celebrate Seasons, Holidays, Happiness etc. This could open up a whole new realm of swaps for us. What do you think? Any suggestions for getting started?

Sounds interesting. Explain more about how you make them and hang them outside? I'm wondering what kind of fabric you use and if they have batting? Guess I've never seen homemade ones and the ones I have are nylon,I think. Thanks!

I have seen these made out of the nylon outdoors fabric but I have never seen them made like a quilt.

I've made them and put them on dowel rods, with a hanger and put candle cups over the ends to finish the dowel rods. I've used canvas and flag nylon with embroidered designs. Don't think I have any currently however!

They may only last for one season because cotton fabric seems to fade quite a bit in the sun. Just something to keep in mind.

If they are going to be used outside you really need to use the flag nylon, otherwise they will sun rot and the wind can also go very hard on them.

Yes - does anyone have a free pattern for one. I do not understand how you can get something on one side without it showing thru to the other.
