    Here is what I have learned: If you want the thread to show, use a regular quilting thread in a complementary color. If you want it to disappear, use Superior Thread Bottom Line on the bottom (I use it on the bottom of everything I sew) and top or just on the bottom and So Fine on the top. Sometimes I like to have the quilting just give that quilted look to the quilt so I use the very find "disappearing" threads like above. The King Tut by Superior is a very good thread for showing up well and comes in lots of beautiful verigated colors. It might be nice on your quilt in a color range of raspberry shades. Another idea is to use a sparkle thread like one of the Superior metalics and do a stitch in the ditch. They really are very strong and hold up well. This will give your quilt a glitzy look and still be easy to do and be shown off. Check out the Superior Thread website http://www.superiorthreads.com. They have lots of videos and helpful info for you. The spools are sort of expensive but have a lot on them. Good luck.
