Thread storage..... what is your recommendation?

I store my rasant sewing threads in the double sided thread boxes also my Isofil embroidery threads. I store my Hemingworth Embroidery thread in the hard clear plastic containers and the large 5000 metre spools in containers I bought at K-Mart. Never have them out in the open except when using them.

I use scrapbook plastic bins (similar to what bettyj uses from k mart) bought at either Michaels or Hobby Lobby with 40 percent off coupons. Holds my embroidery thread and I have a rolling plastic bin from Walmart that I store my CT thread.

I go to a dollar store and buy these plastic shoe boxes that has an attached lid and has a handle on the top. I sort my thread by color and mark the boxes by color with a lable on the end of the boxes and I store them in a tall cabnet with all my sewing stuff.

I keep all my thread (embroidery, cones, spools, cotton, etc.) in the rolling-multiple drawer plastic storage bins (you can get them at Walmart, Target, etc) and it keeps them clean and well organized by color, etc.

Attached is a pic of my thread stored in air-tight jars. They are decorative jars I got from a big-box store that had cookies in them. You can find big jars with lids at Hobby Lobby (almost always on sale 50% off) that would look good holding thread.

I also use the fishing tackle boxes. I like the look of fabric on pegs on the wall, but decided it would collect to much dust. The connecting threads threads come so that you can see the color when they are standing on end, so if you use their thread, you can easily use the thread boxes on the market.
