Can you please tell me before I place my order? I have a Bernina QE and want to get some really nice thread for her. I want to order Aerofil but not sure what weight ? What would you recommend for piecing and also for machine quilting? Thanks for the info on the previous thread regarding thread.

I use Aurifil 50 wt. for piecing and I use either 50, 40 or 30 wt. for quilting depending on the results I desire. You'd be very safe to order 50 and if you want to try out quilting with the 40 or 30 maybe order one spool of those to try it?

I agree with Candace. Also, I have found variegated thread works best for quilting. Looks best, I mean. I love Aurifil thread.

I use Aurifil 50wt for both piecing and quilting and have had no problems.
