I am so excited. Sewers Dream Outlet in Burlington WA is hosting a sewing retreat for NW Quilters and I get to go spend three days doing nothing but sew. I hope to get all my blocks done for the batik swap and the black/white/bright swap here plus get my stash quilt done for Downy kids. I will be meeting a group of quilters I haven't met before and am looking forward to a great weekend.

YOu are so lucky. I love to go to retreats to get away and finish some UFO's. Have a great time and relax. I too am in the black/white and batik swap and I have one more quilt to finish for QFK-Downy. Happy retreating.

Remember to bring lots of different things to do. The first retreat I was on, I ran out of projects.....with so much time to just sit and sew......well it's amazing how the to-do list gets whittled down. I also get bored very quickly working on one project for a few hours so it's helpful to switch off. I now bring cutting and quilting projects, small boutique items to make as well as the larger ones. I even brought my scraps and cut them up for scrap therapy. One girl at my last retreat mentioned that she walked by my table every few hours and never saw me working on the same project!
