We're empty nesters here. I have a job outside the home. I'm been pretty busy sewing for our 4 DGK'S (ages 4-7)while they still love home made (Holloween customs right now). I still do some quilting & have been doing alot more thanks to the Board!

I work full time and I live alone, so I have to take care of my house, yard, and the pets myself. I get to spend about 9 hours each week sewing and it's not always quilting. Sometimes I am making other things with the machine. I also knit and crochet and I have to fit those in when I can.

Live along, cleaning house is last on list. I am retired, in my 70's and quilting gives me a purpose to get up and get goin each day. I feel I am accomplishing something as a quilt comes together. I am working on a quilt most every day for 4 to 5 hours a day.

I do most of my quilting at night. But, I usually find a few spots during the day to do a little more.Hubby quilts too, so our together time is either sitting on our recliners , him cutting out pieces and me with my lap hoop. Or, sitting side by side, his machine next to mine.

I am retired and there is only DH and myself. I clean the house when I get the inspiration to do so and since we eat out a lot, I do very little cooking. What cooking is done is done by my DH who loves to cook. Therefore, I can usually quilt about 6-8 hours nearly every day and I love it.

My time is basically spent between canning right now - cooking for crews of men doing various jobs around the farm and cleaning - all teh goodies that go with housekeeping, and IF I'M LUCKY - maybe an hour a day.

I HATE WINTER, but looks like it is my only hope for a full day for me! once again IF I'M LUCKY! :)

I have a small LA clientele, so I spend 4 days a week @ 4 hrs per doing that, then maybe 2/3 hrs "playing" with my projects-piecing, sewing, etc. But, I do have a house to keep relatively clean and meals to cook, etc.,(don't have someone coming in to do these mundane things!). Altho it is only dh and I, there are still things to do in the "living area" before I can spend time in my "world". Also, usually have some "hand work" ready to do while watching the few tv programs I enjoy in the evenings, like NCIS and Good Wife......then some days just don't do any of the above.....mental health days.......go shopping for more fabric.......

On a 7 day week, I would say about 25 hours.

Weekends when the weather is bad. I work full time and that is all the time I can get. I am going to a quilt retreat soon. # days of uninterupted sewing. Heavenly.
