Default Tin Lizzie 18 oil?

I have a Tin Lizzie 18 sit-down and an ESP version on a 12-foot frame, and need oil for them. Does anyone know which oil is appropriate for this machine? Amazon has several available (I'm looking for a good amount to keep me going for a while) but I want to be sure which is best.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I use the Zoom oil on my Pfaff P3 (which is a Tin Lizzie 18 clone).

this is what my bottle looks like.

You can use Zoom oil on all sewing machines except for Berninas. Bernina makes it's own oil.

I use whatever oil I have for my Tin Lizzie..as long as it's sewing machine oil. I have lily white, zoom oil and singer oil all here near my machines and grab one or the other when I need oil. Tin Lizzie's are tough machines, just keep oiling and cleaning and it should last you forever!

I'm with the rest of the group. When I had my Queen Quilter (the cheaper version of the TL18), I used the Zoom oil. I now have an APQS Millenium & use the same oil for it.

You can use any oil that says it's specifically for sewing machines. Don't use 3-in-1.

My Bernina (440QE) is fine with standard sewing machine oil. I think they recommend a lighter oil for some of the newer machines.

I buy sewing machine oil by the quart for my Gammill and then use it on my Pfaff for piecing, too. I think it is called Sew Rite, and I get it from my Gammill dealer.

Really? Bernina has their own refinery and chemical lab? I would think it more likely they have certain specifications and contract with a vendor to be supplied with an oil that meets those specifications (which is likely no different than any other sewing machine oil, except perhaps they have outlined trace impurities in their spec more than other companies in order to call it "Bernina-approved".
