Too many fat quarters
#33
I know what you mean buying too many fat quarters. I bought a LOT of green fat quarters and quarter yards for the scrappyish Winding Ways quilt I'm making for my boyfriend. I wanted some variety so I kept buying stuff I thought looked good or added contrast to another fabric. Then, while still buying fabric, I thought about putting in a border...that's when it hit me I probably had enough fabric for the blocks plus a scrappy pieced border. And then possibly then some.

Thanks for your opinions.

Second of all -- scappy is great! M'Liss Rae Hawley has a few fat quarter books which have patterns specifically for fat quarters, with 1 fabric to tie it together -- usually in a boarder.
Good Luck!
