    Good Luck!
Yes, M'Liss Rae Hawley's book is the one I used for the Woven Ribbons Quilt (mentioned earlier in this thread). I was very happy with that one.

When I first began quilting, I ordered from Quilter's Paradise when they had their Fat Quarter Frenzies - I didn't get to choose my FQs but they wound up being about a $1 each and I thought it a good way to build up some stash. There are quite a lot that I may never use as they aren't really my taste but I've used many in smaller projects and I'm really glad to have them. I think as I become more experienced I might find more ways to use them.

Pincushions of course, that's my hobby and I find the most colorful fabric is the best.

They are both cute but I would probably opt for the 2nd one because there is no applique involved. A jigsaw quilt would make a good one for Quilts for Kids. I have someone coming in today to add some electrical circuits to my sewing room so I'm exiled. Maybe I'll rescue some FQs and do some cutting today for a jigsaw. :)

I just saw a pattern on Clothilde (sp?) for a variety of slippers made from fat quarters.

If you Google 'fat quarter yields' you will get a chart that tells how many squares can be cut from a Fq. Did you know there are 90 2" sq. In a FQ?
