Do you really want to do quilts "just like everybody else"? The fact that your quilts "always look so different from the others" is a wonderful compliment to your work. I wouldn't disrupt the quietness of this quilt with anything the least bit bright!!! It is itself a wonderful, and yes "calm" creation. Don't do anything to change that!!!!!!!

Your instincts have been "right on".

What's wrong with soft? Your quilt looks very cuddly!

I think you might have used a deeper purple on the small squares.

I think it's beautiful, too. It is sofy & dreamy-looking & I find that quite attractive.

Very pretty! I like it. I wouldn't worry about your quilts being different from the other guild members' quilts. Do your own thing and enjoy it.

It is beautiful! And I like to shake it up a bit and do new and different things. Hey, they can't all look alike!!!!

But now I am wondering if it is too "soft," colorwise. I have been looking at it for a day now, and I am ready to actually sew the blocks together....but I am wondering if I am stalling because it is too soft?

So, I should proceed, right? If I like it, it doesn't matter what my guild would say about it? (My quilts always seem so different from the others in Show and Tell.)
