There isn't a season for giving a loving, thoughtful gift. Children cherish their own possesions too.

There is never a wrong time for a gift of love and self. Showing acceptance and welcome into the family is a warm and caring thing to do and you are special in wanting to do this for them. Huggggggs and smilesssss for youuu and congrats on the expanding family. There are never too many people to love and huggggs, kissess and smiles are infinite. You never run out no matter how many you give away!!!

With kids that age they would be "snugglies" and it is never too warm for those. Just be prepared that your gifts will be well used - and look like it.

If you dont sew clothing type things, how about buying hats from a dollar store, like a baseball cap or sometihng the kids wear and making a band/ribbon on them from some of the fabric in the quilt. sharet (I just say that cus I have to wear a hat in the sun or I'll pass out -lol, old people, sheez!)
Excellant idea! Thank you. I will get the l;ittle ones caps and add a band of the fabric in the quilt.

It's never too warm to give a quilt. It can become a security blanket - like Linus - and they can sleep on top of it or under it. I have to sleep with something over me year round, and often sleep under my quilt in the summer when the A/C is on. What a kind and generous thing to do and they will cherish it forever, I'm sure.

I agree with all - quilts can be laid out on the floor for playing, snuggled with while watching TV, rolled up and used as a pillow, covering up with if an evening gets cold, laid on the grass (hope you won't mind if that happens) for stargazing, and so on and so on.

Definitely, positively give them now. To withhold them would be to withhold your love!
