    I buy Superior Titanium coated topstitch needles made by Organ. They stay sharp much longer then non coated. I don't have to guess or keep up with a lot of different types of needles.

    The Topstitch needle is the only needle I use for FMQ. I use a 90 or 100 and have never had a problem with breaking thread since. I agree, the Superior coated needle do stay sharp longer. I test my needles for sharpness each time I use them by putting them in and out of pin cushion to make sure it doesn't pop which shows me it worn and will catch with every stitch.
