    Thanks, Tartan! When I cleaned my sewing room, I wondered why I should hang onto that old tracing wheel. Now I know. :-)

    Clover has a wheel such as you describe, but it is attached to a container of chalk, so that what you leave on the fabric is a chalk line rather than (maybe) an indentation in the fabric. I’ve had good luck with it.

    I wish we lived closer to one another. I have 2 tracing wheels and I love to use them during my quilting. I still have some of the old tracing paper and I can trace a design on my quilt, FMQ and then the lines wash out.
