Trash to treasure

That is wonderful idea! I've seen strawberries in smaller ones but never 1 this big. I use old plastic shoe boxes for my little half squares out of small leftovers. Right now have 7 different sizes & boxes... Some day!!! You do know that 'some day' is not a day of the week?!!!! But, anyway...... Why recycle something when we put it to use, huh????

I use the thin, long, clear container that danish roll comes in to store strips for string quilts. 97 cent pencil cases from WalMart are perfect for yoyo circles and various sized squares ready for next scrap quilt. All see thru, sized and sorted ready to go.

What a good idea! I use new pizza boxes (pizza parlors are nice about providing a spare box if I ask and they're various sizes) for saving blocks I need to assemble. But, I routinely 'recycle' those large plastic containers from Costco. This would keep my fabric purchases together for quick viewing and access. I could even label the quilt pattern I plan to use onto the container so I don't forget what it is when I finally get to it.

Great idea for storage!! Wish I'd known that before I spent $40. on containers for scraps left over from projects (reds, greens, blues, etc.) But they are pretty & I can use the larger lettuce & spinach ones from Sam's for projects & that way I won't use the fabric in something else by mistake because it will all be together. I could even put the pattern it with the fabrics.
