two years ago, someone gave me a box of scraps and most of the pieces were small....

she said, all you have to do is sew them together and keep sewing them together....

I got so much joy from picking and sorting from all the fabric ,which piece I wanted next....

well I made a big quilt top....it was a crazy quilt sorta....maybe just rag pieces sewn together.

But till this day I am so proud of it....

When I go visit my friend and see her prized quilts, sometimes I see some of the same fabric,
that I have in my quilt at home, all from the precious box of scraps she gave me....and the simple instructions....

    "keep sewing them together" Darlene.

One person's scrap is another's stash.....then again all of it is a treasure!

What a cool thing, Darlene. And so nice of your friend to gift you with these scraps. I love scrappy quilts the best, so would love going through a pile of scraps like that, too.

I'd love to see a picture too! This reminds me of an idea I had recently to start collecting fabric during my marriage (I'm a newlywed) so that I could make a memory quilt after a few years. Or maybe make a block each year and keep adding them to one another. That way when we hit 20 years, we'll have a full sized quilt.
