I agree that a bright or deep blue would look great as a binding.

Blue or red would be nice. I would avoid a white binding because it will show the dirt faster.

Maybe a dark blue, or even scrappy with darker blues.....

I'd vote for dark blue but would definitely ask your mom what she's prefer. After she picked out the pattern & material, I wouldn't want to put on something she didn't care for.

I would go with a medium or dark blue that coordinates with the tumbler fabric. Bindings pick up dirt/body oils first so for a quilt that will be 'used' I always try to make bindings on the dark side.

I agree that the dark blue that looks sorta like a polka dot pattern would be a great choice.

I like my bindings to coplement the wit a darker shade that you have in the quilt would work well for the binding
