I love them!! I made one many years ago. I would take a pic of it but I brought it to the vet hospital, to keep my dog company after his surgery, and they lost it . It was getting worn out, anyway.
Mine was a charm tumbler. I used each fabric only once. I want to make another plus a mini tumbler doll quilt.

I made my first one after seeing one at a quilt show, also. I had one of the helpers measure the size of the tumblers (this was back in the day before computers, rotary cutters, etc) and I cut them all out using a template that I made out of a piece of cardboard.
Here is a blog entry about them and sort of shows how they are put together:

I am making one right now. Using the 10" Tumbler template I bought from Missouri Star Quilt Co. The fabrics I am using are from the Farmer's Market collection. It is fun and not difficult, but there are alot of bias edges, starch heavily. I cannot post a picture because I don't know how and I don't have a camera. Very technologically challenged.

This is a vintage top that I bought on eBay - looks like a mix of new and used fabrics from the 30's & 40's and maybe 50's. It's beautifully pieced by machine and my quilting doesn't do it justice, but it's bright and cheerful and soft.
