My mom used to use my dad's t-square when she did some sewing/quilting back in the day. I remember that very well. ^_^

If you have a tissue printed pattern, back it with fusible interfacing. The tissue will not tear and will be still be flexible to fold. I use to do this with all my clothes patterns and they are still as good as new. Pattern companies have great craft/quilting patterns now.

Save an empty prescription bottle (you know...the amber colored ones) in your sewing room for old...dull...bent...broken needles and pins. When the bottle is full just throw away the entire bottle. That way no needles or pins directly in the garbage.

Hubby bought me a T-square awhile back. I kept having trouble with it and come to find out it wasn't square!

As I read on this site...if you use insulin you probably have an orange container for disposal of all sharpes...that would include broken needles and pins.
Funny thing is, I was using the pill bottle until I just read that hint. Silly olde lady!

Me too, I fill several bobbins before I startm so I dont have to take the time to fill them when I'm on a roll. One bottle for red, one for off white, etc. They work great and my great grandson loves playing with them.

    Good topic!
I save my car travel time for reading... I always have at least 2 books with me when away from home. My spare time at home is reserved for quilting/sewing projects.
