Default UK Longarmer Recommendations please?

Hello,

If anyone has any recommendations for a UK longarmer I would like to hear them please!

My previous longarmer has gone out of business, so although I don't have a mass of quilts to longarm, I do have a few...

I'm in North Wales, and suspect I may have to post the top etc out. I know there are a few longarmers around, but would love to hear any personal recommendations (as opposed to picking a random from an Internet search)

I'm not looking for anything fancy (or expensive!), but fairly basic, competent, and reasonably priced

TIA

The Last Homely House on YouTube posted a while back about the longarmer she takes her quilts to. It showed her at the longarmer and her machine. I have no idea if this is anywhere near you though.

I looked it up on YouTube and the site was http:// cumbrianlongarmquilting.co.uk I see by the map it is quite a distance away but it may give you an idea on where to look and prices.

Do you have a fabric shop (LQS)? Mine keeps a booklet of longarmers that she has worked with. You could probably just call...

Thank you so much Tartan - that actually looks like a really good lead! She is not nearby it is true, but I'm not really expecting to be able to find one near to me (there are no where near as many longarming services in the UK as in the US). So I will definitely be looking into her more

That is a good idea Rff1010. Both of the LQSs I used to visit regularly in person have now gone, but I could consider ringing a different one to see if they have any suggestions - thank you!
