Default UPDATE - Problem w/Hobbs Wool batting

I had previously posted that I had a problem with a wool batting from Hobbs posted here http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...g-t237307.html . Some folks gave wonderful suggestions on how to save it, a few others suggested contacting Hobbs direct (because I didn't remember where I purchased it).

Well ... I e-mailed Hobbs over the holidays and heard back from them earlier this week. They are mailing me a replacement batting!! I can't believe it! So wonderful!!! She indicated that the problem could have been either the batt was in the bag too long or there was a problem with the folding/stuffing into the bag. I suspect the later more than the former.

Just wanted to update and tell everyone that Hobbs has wonderful customer service and is standing by their product, even though I could not tell them where or when I purchased the batting (although I know I've had it less than one year).

Yeah Hobbs!!!!

Always good to hear a manufacturer standing behind their product.

Thanks for letting us know. I think it's so important to share the positive exchanges with a business just as much as we share our disappointing ones. I know that hearing about your good customer service experience will make me more likely to buy Hobbs products in the future.

I am glad to hear, but not surprised, that you received a positive response from Hobbs Customer Service. I know I have mentioned on this board before that I participated in a live seminar lead by a Hobbs representative. I was impressed with the presentation and the way the questions were answered.
