Update on school glue basting
#21
I have never tried glueing anything on quilts! Bet it works well with aplique! I have a walking foot that I use on my bindings and I don't even pin it down and have had great, neat bindings with it. I have a new aplique pattern that I was going to use Heat and Bond on but I might try that "Elmer's in bottle" trick! I have a couple of ink refill bottles that I saved cause as a crafter of everything thing I save EVERYTHING!!LOL

Another question on this thread - how soon can you sew after applying the glue? After it's heat set, you're good to go!

Funny thing..... I have a lady friend who used to sew and teach alot of classes. She always hands me stuf that she is not using anymore due to the fact she is now involved in making glass and jewelry. Anyway. I went thru some of my stash things today and what did I find but this Roxeann glue stuff you all were talking about!!! lol Matter of fact she gave me several bottles of it.. Now I guess I know what it is for!
