Default Update - skills challenge at retreat plan

Earlier I had posted for ideas for a skills challenge at a retreat I was attending. The idea probably wasn't worded correctly and didn't seem to go over well here.

So, what I did was pre cut log cabin blocks for a Quilt of Valour quilt and anyone who pieced one of the blocks was entered into a draw for a (very) small prize.... out of 48 pre cut blocks, 31 got pieced. I was very pleased with the outcome and the person who won the small prize was thrilled..... I will finish the piecing and assemble and finish the quilt.

For those of you who do not know, the Canadian division of Quilts of Valour is hoping to meet a goal of 20,000 quilts donated in 2020.....

What a great idea you came up with.
And such a nice way for you to get "help" with a QOV quilt.

Maybe this will become a regular feature at your retreats?
Or at the Guild?

Good Luck!!

Very nice way to focus on a project at a retreat. Also, could be used as an 'ice breaker'. Your stated goal is forward looking and I hope you can achieve it-such an important outreach.

That was a good way to get others involved and interested! Hope the QOV/Canada makes its goal.
