Great idea. I don't usually wash fabric, except for batiks. I don't want any excess dye ruining a piece.

Thanks for sharing this info. The ladies at Pacific Rim are so helpful. I have made a few of their patterns- such a rewarding project.

Thanks for letting us in on this terrific information. I do not know if will be using my batiks in this manner, but knowing in advance of a possible future project can take some of the irritation out of it.
