    Default Very strange quilt

I can't understand what is going on in this quilt. Is it a pattern, or a... uh.. mess? https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/88344669

Just keep sewing all the scraps, no matter how they fit, then cut blocks, and bang, you have a picnic throw,,,,,,

I think someone tried a crumb quilt and didn't like the results.

    I agree, it's a crumb quilt.

I would call it a utility quilt. Many a quilt was made with what was on hand to keep a family warm.

It looks like a lozenge quilt, where the lozenges were made out of strips of various widths and the center squares are a consistent fabric. The description that it's "stained all over" is a disappointment. I wish I knew how to date the fabrics in the quilt.

Just looks like to me that someone was trying to use up a bunch of scraps.

That looks like a "use up scraps" quilt. Kinda like a crumb quilt.

Kind if a cross between a strip quilt and a crazy quilt? And it is scary that I have many of those scraps in my 'stash'. ;-)
