Dont be so quick to ebay them yet. Depending on the size of the quilt you want to make, it'll take more than you think. I am making a 6-pointed star quilt(10 inches point to point), I have 105 stars in it for a twin size quilt - When you make that octogon block, you'll have to get good w/ Y-seams...

Oh yes 117becca! I can see those Y seams will be something I have master. I don't even want to start on the project until I figure that out. I'll probably have to take that one to the local quilt shop for advice. They have an open sewing night a few times a week. Well worth it I'm sure!

Ok, wait, I found another pattern I'd really like to use these for -
4 of the stars are put together and it makes them look like the background of another, better star!
