well, the weekend is now over and I got a little lost in a mystery novel! But I did get 2 wall hangings (world maps) quilted for my DD and oldest GS for Christmas, got a customer quilt loaded on the long arm and ready to start quilting tomorrow. Still disassembling cowboy shirts for 3 customer memorial quilts and have the blocks ready for an August (swimsuit & inner tube) Sunbonnet Sue exchange where I need 12 blocks. Basically all since Friday morning. house is messy and laundry still in the dryer though!

I finished putting together all the slash blocks and got them trimmed, the side pieces made and pressed, still need to trim them up but laid everything out to get a general idea on which side pieces go where:

I got all the blocks done for my friend's retirement quilt. They are on the design wall now. I'll get them sewn together this week as well as getting batting and backing fabric so I can hopefully get it sandwiched and ready to quilt by the end of the month.

I think I have all the seam directions aligned correctly now so on to the sewing. This really helped to narrow down my pile of scrap fabrics but still had to use some fat quarter sections so it wasn't too turquoise (which seems to be the majority of my scraps).
Thanks again for a great VQW, Raggiemom!

OH it's really pretty! I've made one with that pattern. I like your colors.
