actually I would hate to do anything to interrupt the pattern. Can you do more blocks all the way to the edge? It's such a delicate pattern that just a background fabric binding would suit me to a T on that one. But, I'm a beginner so what do I know.

Well, unfortunately, I have to withdraw from participating in this VQW I've been having timing issues with my machine for the past three months, but I kept trying to ignore it and limp along. But today some odd scraping sounds were coming from the bobbin case, so at last I will be taking it down to visit the repair shop on Monday. That's okay, I'll watch what everyone else is creating and cross stitch some Christmas ornaments up for the family. There is never nothing to do!

I'm sorry you won't be able to participate. It's not looking as good for me, but I'm hoping to get one good day in of quilting.

Isn't it the the truth that there is never nothing to do. My mother used to complain all the time about being bored. She asked once if I wasn't bored a lot because my husband worked lots of hours. I honestly told her I couldn't remember the last time I was bored. I always have something to do!

Sorry you're having machine issues. My good machine has been out of commission for a couple weeks now and in the shop. Hoping to have it back by Thanksgiving! There is always something to do though My sewing room ALWAYS need organizing and cleaning.

Yesterday was a very productive day. My friend and I both managed to get our dahlia tops done (quiltsmart pattern). I was really happy with how smoothly it went together. This morning I put the binding on a charity quilt and am headed upstairs to bind a second one. After that, I hope to finish the blocks for my Judy Niemeyer quilt Ripples (from Geese Migrations). It's a Christmas present for my parents so it kind of needs to get done. I will try to post pictures later. For some reason, the pictures I took on my phone aren't appearing in my OneDrive on the laptop. Something screwy is going!

    Keep on quilting, fellow quilters!

PS--I would be glad to start a VQW on Thanksgiving to run over the holiday weekend. I'll pop in and out myself as I may go out shopping Friday. And I'm hoping to put up Christmas decorations if my little demon cat, Kiko, will allow it.

My DH had shoulder surgery so I've been helping out - amazing what that man does on a day-to-day basis. He is feeling much better today so I will have time to go to my room. First I will need to do a thorough cleaning. There are sequins from the Halloween costume EVERYWHERE. Then I'll figure out the next project.

Oh my - all us kids learned very early on to NEVER say "I'm bored" around my Mother -but we lived on a farm so there was always something to do.

Though there is always something to do, some things aren't as interesting as others - and that is how we end up with UFO's.

Have the top finished now on my chevron scrappy lap quilt. My design wall is just a flannel sheet on a curtain rod, so the quilt top looks skewed... it's not really!

Oh I like that Thimblebug, wish my slash blocks were going together as quickly, compared to the 16 patches these slashes are taking forever.

Macybaby, I love your little shoo-flys with all the tiny pieces. Can't wait to see that quilt all put together.

Thimblebug, your scrappy chevron looks GREAT. So much fun with all those fabrics.
