I am ready for this weekend. I need to finish longarm quilting my Celtic Solstice from last years Bonnie hunter mystery. I also want to cut out some quilts for a retreat in 2 weeks. I will post my progress.

I've been gone all day to a church meeting, so am getting a late start on this. I'm working on two mystery quilts -- the one here on this board and one at QCA, so I'll be busy with that. But I also want to finish a couple of sewing machine covers I have pieced but not sandwiched or quilted, and to start on some Tiddlywink blocks. Judy showed us a couple of quilts she made of this pattern and I really like it. Oh, I also have a quilt block to make for another board and a mug rug for the current swap. I think I'll be very busy!
RaggieMom -- Thanks for hosting this weekend and for encouraging us to get motivated.

Great time to get those Halloween projects done! Lots of neat projects ready to go, too.

Will try to join you as I go in and out--weather's too nice not to get some yardwork done. But my nights are relatively free! Wed night started making some pillowcase dresses for church project to Haiti. Have armholes cut and top casings and hems (if needed) on 10 little dresses. Using the armhole cutouts from larger sizes to make pockets--think I have pockets on half of them. Must make bias tape for armholes.
DD and GD will be here soon. GD stays the weekend--gotta dash.

This afternoon I got a sashing strip sewn to each block on my flannel quilt top, pressed, and cut one fabric for my new project. I quilted myself into a jam on my fmq learning quilt, and then my bobbin ran out, so I left it to deal with tomorrow. I'm now going to hand piece for awhile with an eye on the TV.

First photo shows the blocks I'm hand-piecing using Amy Butler's Gypsy Caravan fabric; second photo shows the blocks for the flannel quilt.

Sisty88, this is absolutely gorgeous!! I could never do such detailed work, but I love the colors you've chosen. I look forward to see this one completed.

Am only hopping on tonight but I did get something started today. I stole minutes throughout the day to iron fabrics to be used in a baby girl quilt. I wanted something very pink because my niece is expecting a girl after FOUR boys. I thought she needed something pink for this little princess. So tomorrow I'll try to get some of the cutting done. I'll be "designing" as I go because I have an idea in my head but haven't put it down on paper yet. I saw on the QB a few weeks ago a border that used HSTs. Will try to imitate that and make it fit around a panel. Hmmm- we'll see.

Wow... that pineapple quilt! What a jaw-dropper.

I'm still pressing all the fabric I washed... from TWO shopping trips.

Worked on a quilt makeover today. Tomorrow is reserved for working on my mystery quilts. Sunday, who knows? I've got quilting to do, but no space right now to spread out and do it.

This is my first time joining in on a VQW and I'm excited to see what others are doing. I have been working on a "Welcome" door hanging. It is a kit but is just perfect for our new house in Georgia. Right now it's in a hoop for hand quilting, but I'm not sure that's what I want to do. I might take it out of the hoop and try it on the machine...after some practice sandwiches. I'm trying to get the sewing room in condition to pack up for the move. So looking forward to getting out of the snow.

Finish binding a charity quilt. Then clean up my sewing room before I start quilting a lap quilt.
