I have UFOs but this weekend or week I hope to make some fabric boxes and a drawstring bag.

On the second one I have rearranged the 9 patch blocks so there is a flow in the color scheme. I don't have a picture of the new arrangement yet.

The 3rd one is simply a scrappy of miscellaneous blocks with a heart shaped applique of one of the gowns in the center and I don't have a picture of it.

I don't think I will ever do one of these again for someone else unless it is a gift.
Twinkie, these tops are so special. Very vintage-y... You did a great job!

Back in November I started the Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt, but was only two steps in when I saw the reveal. Like many of you, I realized it wasn't something I wanted to continue with, but I had these blocks of green, white, and black already made. What to do with them? They reminded me of the Creeper character from the popular video game called Minecraft which my son likes a lot. So I decided to make one for charity.

This is the photo I took in January after a lot of frustration in piecing the face. At times I wanted to give up. But in mid-January a local tragedy occurred which kept me going. I'll discuss that later.

This quilt is now at the binding stage which I'm doing this weekend. I'll show pictures when I'm finished.

[QUOTE=thimblebug6000;7089826]twinkie, you're doing a wonderful job with those scraps and the fusible grid!

Thimblebug thank you so much. I am so disappointed that I wasn't able to do a watercolor as I like to but this is something extra I did

And put it in a nice picture frame. If she likes it I have
2 other ones I can do for the other daughters.

I you are bad, Cindy, then so are all the rest of us! We all suffer from the same affliction.

Zozee, I thought those green and white and black pieces looked familiar! Great idea to use the blocks you already had... I have finally gotten my Bonnie Hunter Grand Illusion top together, and it's so big I will have to learn to use my friend's long arm to quilt it. Here is mine, made as designed:

Sewbizgirl, yours looks really cool. So many of them do, and my hat's off to those of you who can deal with so.many.pieces! It taught me a lesson, though: I am no more apt to quilt a 1,000 piece quilt than I am to work a 1,000 piece puzzle! (Give or take a few hundred.) I was going loo-loo!

I actually couldn't use most of the blocks as-is for my Minecraft quilt because the black pieces ended up in the wrong place. But the combo inspired this and I was able to salvage a lot of green and white patches. And the backing? Almost as many pieces!

I finished my 2 tote bags. Picture below. Now I think I'll read a book.
