Had some leftover yo-yos from a quilt for our youngest so I made some yo-yo dolls.
Houston Girl Scouts gave each of us a doll like this with bells on the hands & feet, but my children's home house mother had a migraine & took away my very first toy, I was 6. I never had a doll again as a child, it was too painful. So the Good Lord blessed me with needle & thread & gave me self reliance as an adult! I'm delighted to introduce you to Jack & family...

Thanks for hosting Raggiemom! I thought it was last weekend and sure could have used it since I was 'snowbound' last weekend. Tomorrow it should hit 60. Goofy Minnesota weather!

Main goals: make my monthly LQS block and continue cutting odd shaped triangles with my die cutter.

Trim the threads on my fan quilt and call it done. I don't like the batting, but there's no way I'm taking it apart. Starting a Spicy Spiral table runner and, sadly, folding clothes. They got away from me again.

I'm in! Our weather forecast is for rain tomorrow so won't be able to work at all in garden. Have customer quilt--wool applique--on the LA and want to get it done by Monday or Tues. Also want to get further on a string quilt/applique that I'm working on for a presentation in guild, need some time to do some design work and also to get ready for a 4 day retreat starting next Thurs.

I spent some time Friday evening working on tubes for a bargello. When I need a break, I am hoping to do some cutting for a baby quilt.

I'll be quilting, overall pattern, on En Provence. Could someone stand behind me with a stick and keep me going?

Finished the table runner I showed in the last VQW. I completed a dozen blocks for the Churn Dash Swap held here recently and would like to make a few smaller Churn Dashes to go with them.
I have some Kaffe fabric that I am dying to use and think I may plan a quilt with that using the book The Gentle Art of Quiltmaking by Jane Brocket as inspiration. We'll see!

Yesterday instead of working on any of the things I had listed I took an Ugly UFO off my design board and just played with the couching foot on my Sweet Sixteen and some ugly yarn....I may have saved the Ugly UFO...or maybe not...but I had lots of fun

wait! I take that back, I did do some work on the collaborative piece on the design wall... I spent an hour moving the applique all over it, finally ending up with it in the exact same place it started and still not sure where I want it

Oh well, at least I remembered to take pictures at each step- hoping that those can help me make a decision...

Today is a barn day, so no probably no sewing for me.

Will check in when I get back to see what everyone’s working on.

Rob
