Default Virtual Quilting Weekend--5/22 to 5/25

Welcome to another Virtual Quilting Weekend. I'll be doing a combination of quilting and gardening this weekend. I hope many of you are able to join me in the sewing room and we'll get lots accomplished.

For first timers, just post to this thread what you're working on this weekend and feel free to share pictures. This is an opportunity to "quilt with others" on a virtual retreat and just relax. There are no quilt police here. However, be forewarned--you may gain new ideas this weekend! I usually find at least one project that someone is working on that I just must do myself

Any questions, feel free to ask on here or pm me. Next VQW will be 7/3-7/5.

I'm not working on a quilt--exactly--but am playing with applique. I am making a set of flower garden curtains for my 6 yr old DGD. Background is cream and the lower half of each curtain has many bright appliqued flowers. First half is 80% finished and have most of the flowers ready to finish both halves. This has become a great learning project because I have done very little applique in the past, but have a quilt kit that I want to tackle soon.

Yay, it's here! I have grand plans to participate this weekend, although I have to work Sat/Sun. We'll see how much I can get done today & Monday. My plans are to get one or two of my own quilts on (and off) the longarm this weekend, put bindings on them plus one already waiting, and hopefully get some stitching done on a couple of active projects. Looking forward to seeing what everyone is up to.

I will be finishing up a quilt and starting another. Nothing different than what I usually do. I do quilting making at the very least 6 days a week, every week.

Yay... love the VQWs! I have a couple of charity tops to quilt, and many scraps to play with. Also an order for a quilt for a kid going off to college. Who knows what I will get into today and this weekend. Thank you for this thread! Love to see what others are working on.

Maniac, very pretty quilts! I love your batiks. Hope we get to see the bags before the weekend is up.

I hope to get bindings on 3 quilts, finish putting 1 together, get 1 on the longarm and cut out 2. Big plans but I will be happy if I get only half finished.

I am so jealous! I packed up my sewing room and disassembled my longarm in December in preparation for selling my house and moving to another state. Now everything is in storage and I won't be fully moved into another house until sometime in June. Half a year without doing any quilting has made me realize how much I miss it.

This would be a good weekend to work on my disappearing hourglass. I have all my squares cut, I just have to get sewing.
