I'm in. I am hand sewing the binding on a quilt. I've been a little under the weather all week, so this is a good project for me. I can nest on the couch with the dogs, turn on a movie and stitch away. Looking forward to seeing what you all are doing.

Kristi, your "basket" quilt is so pretty. I love the colors that you used.

Petthefabric, beautiful so far, love your pattern.'

It is so much fun reading what everyone is up to and working on. We've had a cold dreary day, woke up to a dusting of snow this AM, and that set me right into a sewing kinda mood. I cherish the days, I can wake up. grab a cup of coffee and head for the sewing machine, and that's the kind of day I've had. I bought the fixings for a boiled dinner yesterday, with the intentions of not leaving the house today and sewing all day. Gotta love it.'

I'm working on the rope for jelly roll rugs, I've got three done today, and started on the fourth one. Hopefully will finish it tomorrow.

Keep up the happy sewing everyone, will check back in later.

    tropit--hope you're feeling better

kristijoy--hope your trip to dentist wasn't anything too serious

Rff1010--I would include your name, or initials, on the label, and the date. You could put Baby Last Name as the recipient maybe. I made three baby quilts for my nieces when they had children. They had names selected beforehand so I included the name on the label. You guessed it--none of the names were actually used so the labels are wrong. Washing instructions probably aren't needed as I would guess they'll toss in the washing machine as needed.

petthefabric--what flying geese method do you use?

RedGarnet223--you're doing what I'll be doing next month. My mother is visiting in June for the first time in two years so I have planned to spring clean during May.

Worked on wool applique today. Now it's "date night" time. My husband and I are working our way through the Marvel Universe movies chronologically and tonight is "Captain America: Civil War". So I'll check back in tomorrow. I won't be able to do much quilting tomorrow, too many other things on the agenda but will pop in to see how everyone is doing.

I sewed 3 baskets and then decided to finish this little top. I had the center hanging around. Framing it with the fishy fabric and border set it off nicely!

    Default Saturday Update

Sewing machine is oiled and cleaned, I'm just about to finish cutting down the fabric now, had to take a break. Cutting fabric can go one way or the other with me, sometimes I enjoy it, other times I don't. This time has been an experience, when I stopped to find out how many pieces I had cut, my fiancé was behind me throwing out numbers left and right while I was trying to count and threw me off so bad, I had to start over. We both had a good laugh, then he left the room long enough for me to count it all again. I managed to cut 25 more pieces than I needed, with some extra that I think I can get even more from, I'm seriously thinking I might have enough to make a couple of matching pillows!

My poor ruler has just about had it, I'm using the June Taylor Shape Cutter, makes fast work of sub-cutting, so had to take an extended break so I could order another one. Won't get here before I'm done cutting this time, but it'll be here for next time. The joys of quilting!

Finished almost one side of sewing down the binding. My hand cramps up after that much. Will try again

Got most of the preliminary quilting done. Will finish this am and start the 2nd round of painting. Depending on how much of the painting gets done, I may get a few more QSTs for my April Debbie Brown quilt finished. I also have 6 blocks from Helen Godden's 2018 BOM to iron and sandwich... so many things to play with- if only there were more hours in a day
