I did my patriotic duty on Thursday and got my second Covid shot, Mederna, and then on Friday sicker than a dog. Fever, chills that made me shake, felling so so tired, sore arm. Saturday finally able to get out of bed and only took 3 naps. Today finally feeling better and may sew a bit today. DH was worried and checked side affects on the internet and I had them all. Also said women more likely to get sick and men probably not get any. He got the same shot, same time, and no bad side effects. So lost a weekend of quilting.

Rob, I can’t wait to see your painting project.

Kara, you certainly seem to have an organized system for making your jelly roll rugs.

railroadersbrat, at least you have too many rather than not enough. I look forward to seeing your progress. Your fiancé sounds like my DH...but always keeps me on my toes.

Wow! That’s a stunning center block.

Lots of good work being shown, thanks for the photos. We have had hot 25 - 30 * C this weekend, so I felt inspired to start scrubbing down the vinyl siding, I missed doing the north side last year, and it was bugging me I have managed to attach all the sashings that I had cut, have to cut a few more and then lay things out. Not today though as my grand doggie spent the night and she thinks anything on the floor (my design wall) was meant for her to lay on. Enjoy your stitching!

I started the Self Mitering Log Cabin...don't like the two blocks I made. Colors just don't work at all. Will try again later with different fabrics. I know it is a scrappy quilt, but I am not enamored with my blocks. Oh well...

This seems like a typical side-effect. My friend, who is a nurse, indicated that this experience means the body is assimilating the vaccine in the way you want it to. I'm getting my second Moderna next Saturday. I've warned the family that I might be sleeping it off for a few days. Glad you are feeling better.

My friend in Arizona also had a really bad day after. But since she has a blood clotting disorder already, a couple days of flu she could tolerate. She did say "if this was mild, no wonder the hospitals were full" but it was only really bad the first day after.

On the other hand -- she now feels she can go to quilt camp and all campers have had their shots.

julienm1--sorry you're having a rough time after the shot. My husband and I get our second shots tomorrow (Pfizer). Hoping we're not both down!

Might get a little wool applique done this afternoon. Today feels like do a little of this, a little of that kind of day around the house where you don't really feel like you've accomplished anything! Seems like several of you are having productive days though

Will check back in later tonight.
