Just wanted to pop in and say have a nice weekend. Hope to get some sewing done later. I'm going to a
small quilt show today with a friend.

My weekend accomplishment is to figure out what my next project will be!

I am finishing (I hope) my Sewing Room essentials by Elinor Burns. Just have to join the blocks which are all bound and figure our how I want to do the hanger.

Well I indeed got all those yellow triangles cut yesterday. Proud to report that I did indeed have enough of the corner squares, Pieces have been turned into sides which are being sewn now.

Looks like I'll make my goal with plenty of weekend to spare. Hope to get those fan blades cut, it's not as hot but it is more muggy this week and not so pleasant to work in the afternoon. We don't really have any plans for the weekend but something might come up to take me away from my sewing...

That's looking great, Thimblebug!

I got a little bit of quilting done on my June Debbie Brown QAL. Here's a sneak peek:

I'm in! The first project for this weekend was to finish blocks I am making for a swap. They are done!
I am now getting ready to put the binding on another quilt. I have the binding cut out and ready to get sewn onto the quilt. I hope to have the whole thing done by the end of this weekend. Now back to the quilt.

Working on my first ever Lone Star. Center medallion came out much smaller than anticipated (39"). So I decided to make some extras to go around the outside. This is the test fit.

Sadly I have plenty of the different grey's left. But only 12" of the green background. Fabric is from stash so can't get anymore.

I've never done a medallion before so this problem is really bending my brain. It's a puzzle!

Default Saturday Update

Everyone's projects look terrific! Rff1010, your Lone Star is looking awesome, I think those additions really makes that stand out a lot. I have one on my bucket list!

I, unfortunately, had a setback with my nephew's quilt last night, so instead of getting even more frustrated, I got something to eat, played with my pups outside since it's actually seasonal instead of the blast furnace we were in last week, then decided to start in on my sister's quilt. I've got 12 of 28 of the Irish Change done.

My plan tonight is actually to take it easy a little, I'm having some residual stomach problems from the migraine I had. I'll be working on my sister's quilt, then I'll rip out some seams from my nephew's quilt and work on that some more. I'll post more pics of his quilt later once I do the ripping and re-sewing.

I think I'm going to sew in silence for a while, I've got a pair of tree frogs that are serenading each other right outside my window. Nothing like the sound of happy tree frogs.
