I missed this one all together. I have so much going on here with my mother right not that this got right by me. She was just placed in hospice. This was a week ago today. It is a lot of work and my sister and I are always at the nursing home to give her a sense of comfort. What I have done is a couple blocks for a swap and that is all that has been done in the last week or so to keep my mind busy. So hopefully next month I can join in the virtual quilt weekend. I am catching up on post today. Everyone is doing a great job.

So glad to read about all that's been accomplished this weekend. Although I didn't finish everything on my list, I did get several things done. Should be able to finish up this week. So see everyone next month!

I did piece a backing for a donation quilt, and today got the last of 4 RS buildings done for thequiltshow.com BOM then started to cut for the LS...but oops...used the RS measurements...so enough for now. Cut out 3 more bibs for our granddaughter but need to get or make some more double fold bias tape in the right colours.

Not a good quilting day - I was putting on binding and seams in the binding fell at two corners. It's a flange binding, so it's bulkier. Hoping for the best when I miter the corners. I also wrote my label with a Sharpie that was next to my micron pen. Another hoping for the best.

Juliasb- so sorry to hear about your mom, sending you lots of prayers and hugs.

Railroadersbrat- They are coming out fantastic! It always takes a bit to get used to a new machine. Please continue to update us with your progress.

I managed to get 14 blocks finished and hopefully I can get the rest done this week and start on the final blocks. I loved seeing everyones projects and looking forward to next months VQW, thanks again for hosting Heather.

Well, here it is on Monday morning, and.... I have not sewn a stitch in more than a week. No binding on a quilt as planned and no catching up on projects. Just not a moment to squeeze in any of MY things. I did learn how to make French Pastry Cream, Lemon Curd and made tarts some with glazed fresh fruit for an family member's open house. The favorite was peanut butter with chocolate gananche. Fun and creative but not sewing/quilting. See everyone next in just a few weeks for the long fourth of July weekend.
