I love seeing what everyone has been working on. Spent most of the day at the barn getting cooked 95 degrees, humid, no breeze, I think the "feels like" temp was well over 100, so no sewing for me today, but it sure was a treat to come home to the a/c and look at what everyone else worked on.

Cherrybsixty. [QUOTE=cherrybsixty;7856894]D.Henson, loving that simple charity quilts, are those 5 1/2 in. blocks, this just inspired me to complete some embroidery blocks with the child print like that
The Red Car quilt is 6 1/2 " blocks. 1 1/2 " inner & 4 1/2 " outer border. I love that these are ez to put together. The white w/ black dots/coral is 5 1/2 " blocks. I put a floral flannel on the back.

I've been busy with too many other things but I did manage to get in quite a bit of hand quilting on my "big hat girl" quilt (for lack of a better name). She's embroidered and I just love her. She's just one block then I did some EPP around her like a frame and the next row around that is a floral vine appilque. Now I'm quilting the first border in a crosshatch. I love that I haven't had to mark anything. If I ever get a pic taken you'll see why is wasn't necessary.
I did pick up another applique project that will be a take-along for when we go camping on Wed and I have everything all ready to go for that. It counts right? I
I wanted to get to the pillowcases I need so badly for our bed, but I don't think I'm going to get to it. I do plan to hit a quilt shop or 2 after we get to the west side. That will make up for it. Keep quilting everyone and Happy 4th!

I have managed to get 2 blocks made for a monthly project. Also go some strips cut to make small 9 patches for another project. This will take a bit to do, strips are 1 1/2" wide, so 9 patches aren't large. I would have liked to have gotten more sewing in but----seems it's been something everyday that's taken me away from my room. DD and family will be here tomorrow afternoon, I'm fixing a casserole, corn & grn beans, salad and dessert, so it'll be quick, maybe I can slip some sewing in in the morning.
Hope all have a great 4th.

I finally finished the king size bed quilt I've been working on off and on since last year. I'll post pics tomorrow. I"m way to tired to do it tonight. I also put new fabric on the seats of 4 of the 6 chairs that go with the round oak table we have in our breakfast room. I'll post pics of that tomorrow, too. I got a pattern today and I'm hoping to get started on a top tomorrow.

I finished my Crystal Blue top! It's a kit, but I'm still pretty pleased with myself for getting it done.

The colours are a bit washed out in this picture; it's really very striking in person. Once it's quilted I will have to take pictures with an actual camera instead of just my phone.
